Gymstick for PTs
The Gymstick can be used in one-on-one personal training sessions. Gymstick offers a more hands on approach, with the trainer is playing a more active role. They control the level of resistance, coordination, and balance provided to the client and provide relevant feedback. With each exercise, this can be increased or decreased according to the intensity required.
The trainer receives kinaesthetic feedback, which assists them in understanding the level of challenge that the client is undergoing – more so than with free weights. The greatest advantage that the Gymstick provides a personal trainer is ability to coach while conducting the training due to the interactive involvement with their client. This approach assists the trainer to actively observe technique and provide feedback through the resistance in the bands. With most exercises, the client is required to have the personal trainer involved to perform the movement and thus training cannot be performed without the trainer.
These six elements are incorporated into a functional workout that mimics the body's natural movements. Members will experience less muscle and joint strain as a result.

Gymstick for PTs also incorporates the TRIOS technique, developed by Gymstick International. TRIOS are sets of three exercises that progressively increase in intensity by adding more fitness elements such as balance, range of motion and increased joint action. Members are free to choose the level of intensity and resistance they apply with each movement. Each section of the TRIOS is 30 seconds in length and this means that for most exercises there will only be enough time for 8 to 12 repetitions. This repetition range falls within the range that will most likely achieve muscle hypertrophy and strength. This is one of the advantages that TRIOS has over conventional barbell or muscle conditioning workouts, as these types of workouts focus on the number of repetitions to reach fatigue.
